Hibiscus

Hibiscus are shrubs with dark green leaves; the plants can grow to 15 feet tall in warm areas. Flowers may be up to 6 inches diameter, with colors ranging from yellow to peach to red. Hibiscus can be planted individually or grown as a hedge plant; they can also be trimmed into a single-stemmed small tree. The flowers are attractive to butterflies. 

Hibiscus are tropical plants that need light and warmth. If they receive just a small amount of care they reward us with many magical blooms throughout the year. They prefer moderate heat and to continue blooming must have a few hours of direct sunshine every day.

In order to maintain a healthy hibiscus that blooms a lot, you must feed itHibiscus require to be watered each week. They like to be constantly moist, but not wet. Feed twice a month during the growing season and prune as necessary to control plant size and cut back errant branches. Cut branches back to just above a side shoot.
